Let’s talk about something we all need but sometimes struggle with – a quick, healthy breakfast. I know mornings can be crazy, especially if you’re trying to get the kids ready for school or rushing off to work. But starting your day with a good breakfast is so important!
Here are some of my favorite quick and healthy breakfast ideas that’ll keep you energized without taking up too much of your precious morning time:
1. Overnight oats: Mix oats, milk (or a dairy-free alternative), and your favorite toppings in a jar before bed. In the morning, you’ve got a delicious, ready-to-eat breakfast!
2. Smoothie packs: Prep bags of frozen fruits and veggies ahead of time. In the morning, dump a pack in the blender with some milk or juice, blend, and go!
3. Avocado toast: Whole grain toast + mashed avocado + a sprinkle of salt and pepper. Add a hard-boiled egg for extra protein.
4. Greek yogurt parfait: Layer Greek yogurt with granola and fresh berries. It’s like having dessert for breakfast!
5. Breakfast burrito: Scramble some eggs with veggies, wrap in a whole wheat tortilla, and you’re good to go. These can even be made ahead and frozen.
Remember, the key is to include some protein, healthy fats, and complex carbs to keep you full and focused until lunchtime. And don’t forget to drink water – staying hydrated is super important too!
